About the Parallax Brief

The Parallax Brief makes no attempt to disguise his reasons for writing this blog. First, he is honest enough to accept that he is both incredibly opinionated and narcissistic enough to want a bigger platform for his opinions. Second, it is his conceited hope that given this platform, there might be one or two people out there in the ether interested (or infuriated) enough to comment and debate on what he has to say.

Primarily, The Parallax Brief will focus on UK politics, foreign policy, economics and finance, and defence; however, he makes no promise to stick to these subject matters, or maintain any semblance of objectivity. Indeed, The Parallax Brief hopes his blog can become a paragon of unapologetic, untrammelled subjectivity, and that it might just engender some bare-knuckled debate.

One more thing: The Parallax Brief’s masters, the Think Politics management team, have asked me to state in no uncertain terms that the views on The Parallax Brief blog are his own and are not the views of Think Politics or any other members of the Think Politics staff.

The Parallax Brief has no idea what they’re so worried about.
